The Good Stuff
Warning: You'll Retire All Your Other Pans

"Bigger surface. Bigger flavour. Bigger 'where has this been all my life?' moment."

Here's the thing about a great 30 cm cast iron skillet: it doesn't just cook food — it transforms it. That massive iron surface holds heat like a professional grill plate, sears a ribeye edge-to-edge without a single grey spot, and bakes cornbread that comes out golden every single time. It's preseasoned, ready straight out of the box, and — plot twist — it gets genuinely better the longer you own it. No peeling. No replacing. Just iron doing iron things.

  • One solid pour from base to tip — no welds, no bolted-on handles, no parts that loosen over time. Just one continuous piece of properly dense iron.
  • Preseasoned with vegetable oil — heat-bonded at the foundry, ready to go the moment it lands in your kitchen. Day one is already a good cook.
  • Gets better with every use — no, really — each cook lays down another layer of natural non-stick seasoning. By month three this thing slides eggs. By year one it's an heirloom.
  • Cast iron handle + assist grip — a secondary handle on the far side so you can move a full, heavy, hot pan like a human being and not a circus act.
Your Food Deserves Better Than Mystery Coating

"No PTFE. No PFOA. No 'what exactly is this flaking off into my omelette?' — just iron."

Most non-stick pans are coated in stuff that sounds fine until you look into it. Then it sounds a lot less fine. This pan has zero synthetic coatings — the cooking surface is raw iron, seasoned with food-grade vegetable oil. That's the whole ingredient list. Two things. Iron and oil. Both of which you'd happily eat.

  • Absolutely zero synthetic coatings — no PTFE, no PFOA, no ceramic sprays. The surface is pure iron. Nothing is flaking off into your food. Ever.
  • Seasoned the old-fashioned, correct way — natural vegetable oil, heat-bonded before it ships. Healthy from the very first fry, no warming-up period required.
  • Sneaky nutritional bonus — well-seasoned cast iron releases small amounts of dietary iron into food. Your pan is literally making your meals healthier. Overachiever.
  • Crank it as hot as you want — no coating to blister, no threshold to worry about. Max heat on the biggest burner. It does not flinch.
Heat That Actually Means Business

"Thin pans drop temperature the second cold food hits them. This one laughs in their face."

Here's the secret to a proper sear: temperature stability. Thin pans lose heat the instant cold ingredients land on them, and instead of searing, your food steams. Sad. The 30 cm cast iron holds its temperature like a champ — drop a cold steak on it and the surface barely blinks. You get a crust. A real one. The kind that tastes expensive.

  • Holds heat like it was born for it — because it was. The iron mass keeps the cooking surface steady even when cold food hits it hard. Crust every time.
  • Works on literally every heat source — gas, electric, induction, ceramic, halogen, open flame, campfire, and oven. No adapters. No asterisks. All of them.
  • Oven safe with absolutely no limit — no plastic parts, no synthetic coatings, nothing that cares about temperature. Stick it under the broiler. It's fine. More than fine.
  • More techniques than your whole cupboard — fry, bake, roast, sear, grill, teppanyaki, campfire bread. One 30 cm pan. Seriously, what else do you need?

How to Look After It (It's Really Not Hard)

"Rinse it. Dry it. Tiny bit of oil. Done. You didn't need a whole guide for this."

People act like cast iron care requires a weekend retreat and a certified instructor. It doesn't. The routine is embarrassingly simple — rinse, dry, thin wipe of oil, done. Do that and this pan survives everything, including you. And if you forget one day and a little rust shows up? Cool, ten minutes and it's like it never happened.

  • While it's still warm, rinse it — warm water + stiff brush + pan scraper. Residue comes off easily. No soaking, no letting it sit. Just rinse and go.
  • Dry it like you mean it — towel dry immediately, then a quick minute on low heat. Cast iron and lingering moisture are not a good couple.
  • Thin oil, then wipe it off — a small amount of cooking oil on the interior while warm. Wipe away the excess until it looks matte. That's seasoning. That's it.
  • Soap? Fine, yes, you can — a drop of mild dish soap occasionally will not destroy a well-seasoned pan. Just skip the steel wool marathon and the soaking sessions.
  • Rust is not the end — scrub it with steel wool, rinse, dry completely, and re-season in a 230°C oven for an hour. Fully recoverable. Every single time.
